Welcome to De La Chiva Goat Dairy LLC
We want to welcome you to De La Chiva Dairy LLC
My Name is Tim, my family and I have been raising Goats for the past 14 years. We are located on 2 acres in the foot hills west of Loveland. We started out with Pygmy Goats for a 4-H project In 1993, then bought our first Nubians In 1997. We slowly sold out the Pygmys and went full time into the Nubians. We started our herd out with two grade does ( does with unrecorded history), and have upgraded their lines to American Nubains. We have added a few Pure bred Nubian does to the herd and now have a large herd of both Purebred Nubians and Americans. In 2001 we purchased our first Saanens to add to our herd. Our Foundation Saanens are American. We now have Purebred Nubains, American Nubian and American Saanens, Grade Nubians, and Nubian Saanen cross Does. We have shown our goats in the past, however the last few years we have been focusing on starting a Grade A Dairy. I have been making cheese for the past 6 years. My family and friends love it. Our goal is to get set up and be operational this year. We will continue to up date the website and add more content so feel free to check back in when you can. We hope that you are all having a great Kidding season, and the best day to you. Take care from De La Chiva Dairy LLC and the Home Of Doty's Koza Magic Herd.
Our herd Name Is Doty's Koza Magic
What De La Chiva is working on!
1. We are currently looking for a new location to relocate our herd, so that we can set up a grade A dairy. We are looking forward to having a farmstead creamery to produce artisan cheese, and other dairy products (yogurt/ice cream/bottled milk).
2. We are currently working on setting up a "Goat Share" program so that people can enjoy the benefit of raw milk. We would like to hear from anyone that may be interested in this program, however it is not currently operating.
3. We also make TED's Goat Milk Soaps and have had great success at craft shows. We are currently constructing our soap website. Please check back for links
4. Currently we have a heard of 60 goats. We will be increasing our herd to 250 milking does. We will be working to improve milk production, dairy character, and body capacity, with a strict breeding program. We will work on having a show herd that milk for a living. We are proud to have a Happy Healthy herd.
We will be updating our site with products and service!
